What You Need to Know Before Booking

To ensure you and all of our guests enjoy the best possible experience at The Berkshire Hair Hub, please take a moment to read our salon guidelines.

Salon Etiquette

To maintain a calm and relaxing environment for all clients:

  • Please keep phones, iPads and electronic devices on silent

  • Avoid using speakerphone – we kindly ask that you use headphones or text where possible

  • Arrive promptly for your appointment to avoid disruption or shortening of your service

Consultations & Patch Testing

  • All new clients must attend an initial consultation and allergy (patch) test at least 24 hours before any colour service

  • Patch testing is a legal requirement for hair colouring services

  • We may also carry out a strand test to ensure your hair is suitable for colouring, particularly if it has undergone previous chemical treatments

Failure to complete a patch test may result in your appointment being cancelled.

Deposits & Payments

A deposit is required to secure your appointment.

  • This will be deducted from your final bill

  • Deposits are non-refundable if cancellations are made within 24 hours

  • In the case of a no-show, the full appointment cost will be charged

We accept all major credit cards.

Late Policy

We understand that delays can happen.

  • A 10-minute grace period is allowed

  • After this time, we may need to adjust or shorten your service

  • If you are significantly late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled

Please call us as soon as possible if you think you may be late so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of appointment fee charged

  • No-shows: 100% of appointment fee charged

We may send reminders via text, email or phone; however, it remains your responsibility to attend your appointment.

Children & Safety

  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times

  • Children are welcome in the salon, but we ask that they are supervised and mindful of other clients enjoying a relaxing environment

Head Lice Policy

We reserve the right to refuse service if head lice or nits are identified during consultation.

  • The appointment will not be carried out

  • The deposit or service fee will still be charged

We strongly recommend checking prior to your visit.

Facilities

We aim to make your visit as comfortable as possible:

  • Complimentary tea, coffee and refreshments available

  • Free WiFi – please ask for access on arrival

  • If you need anything during your appointment, please speak to your stylist

Service Guarantee

We want you to be completely happy with your hair.

If you are not satisfied:

  • Please contact us within 5 days of your appointment

  • We will arrange a correction service free of charge

Requests made after 5 days will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Appointments are reserved specifically for you. These policies help us manage our time effectively and provide the best possible service to all clients.
